Golm is one of the largest war cemeteries in Germany and the largest in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is located near Kamminke, directly on the German-Polish border near Świnoujście. The site was established starting in 1944, initially as a soldiers' cemetery. It became particularly known for the victims of the American air raid on Swinemünde on March 12, 1945, in which, according to current estimates, between 4,000 and 6,000 people died – many of them refugees and civilians. Thousands of dead were buried at Golm.

The Black Heart, an idyllic lake on the island of Usedom, is a somewhat hidden gem in the Korswandt forest. Surrounded by trees that make the water appear dark, this place is a wonderful retreat. Time seems to stand still here. Highly recommended.

The beach is incredibly wide. The hotels tower above the dunes. The view stretches along the coast to the German Baltic Sea resorts.
