The village shop "für dit & dat" (for this & that) in Alt Schwerin is an ideal place for a rest during a bike tour through the Mecklenburg Lake District. Since 2017, Andrea Fabich-Albrecht and her team have been running a charming farm café with a village shop feel in the premises of a former school. Here, you'll find homemade cakes, tarts, and hearty dishes made from regional ingredients—perfect for an enjoyable break. In addition to its culinary offerings, the shop also hosts cultural events such as barbecues with live music, wine festivals, and fashion shows. It is open Mondays and Thursdays through Sundays, mornings and afternoons, and also on Wednesdays in the summer. For cyclists passing through, this place not only offers refreshments, but also a particularly warm, rural atmosphere in the heart of the village of Alt Schwerin.

Great, recommended for a dive in the lake. And then you can get refreshments in the restaurant next door.

A beautiful but root-filled single trail along the lake shore. A fallen tree has to be navigated around. The lake is fairly clear.
