Luckily it's not a singletrack trail, otherwise you'd have to dismount every time someone came the other way. It's certainly rideable with a city bike as well.

Normally, the ruins are closed to the public. However, there is a way. At the castle hotel, you can get the key for the gate and visit the ruins. The observation tower was particularly important to me because I visit similar ones by bicycle in the TV series "The Tower Hunt." The tower looks massive. Spiral stone stairs lead up to a small room where you can also reach the viewing platform. First, though, you have to climb the vertical metal ladder. It's worth it because the view is beautiful. You can see the ruins and the surrounding area very well.
