Anyone who's out cycling and isn't afraid of witches, talking frogs, or giggling elves shouldn't miss the Räderschnitza Stream Trail. The small stream, which gently gurgles its way from Gablenz to the Neisse River, has made its way through the country over millennia – creating a landscape that would have amazed even the Brothers Grimm. The trail along the Räderschnitza River has been newly signposted since 2021. New rest areas invite you to take a break, and the weather shelters provide hikers with a roof over their heads should a goblin named Regen suddenly appear. And right here, where Brandenburg meets Saxony, the green fairytale book comes to a close: the fairytale forest begins. Children excitedly hop from station to station, searching for traces of Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, or a forgotten shoe. Adults relax – or marvel at how magical a nature reserve can really be. And if you let yourself roll a little further along the Neisse Cycle Path, there will come a moment when the small stream quietly bids farewell – into the vast Neisse. But until then: just drift. On two wheels, between two worlds.
