This hiking trail (Thuringian Herb Garden Nature Park Trail), especially the "Mushroom Trail" section, is one of the best, if not the best/most beautiful, of all the hiking trails I have ever hiked, in terms of its design, signage, and overall quality. All stations were/are intact and labeled. Family-friendly... Many thanks to the creators and maintainers of the trails.

a very nice place to rest

Nestled between two Touringen stamp stations, this small rest area invites you to a welcome break. A simple wooden hut stands right next to the Friedersdorf junction bus stop, offering shelter from the wind and weather and providing the perfect place to catch your breath. Whether as a short stop during your hike or to recharge between stamping stations, the spot feels peaceful, down-to-earth, and pleasantly secluded. Especially on longer hikes through the wooded area around Großbreitenbach, this hut is a practical and cozy place to stop. Ideal for hikers who want to structure their tour in a relaxed way and take a short break along the way. 🌲🥾
