04/2026 the castle is only open on weekends due to construction work. The visit is worthwhile, as the restaurants are housed in the Knights' Hall. We had never experienced anything like it before.

It's been a long time since the road here was good. The road is dirty, huge patches have broken away and there are lots of trees in the way. It's currently closed for good reason
