The old town hall is a great place to rest. There's a lovely café inside and shady spots outside. St. Michael's Church is worth a visit, beautifully renovated.

The sculpture is located on the corner of Nibelungenstrasse and Schulstrasse, opposite the now demolished "Blue Palace". The sculpture "The Bath in Dragon's Blood" is from a series of 14 sculptures by the artist Jens Nettlich based on the Nibelungenlied. Siegfried bathes in the blood of the slain dragon, which makes him invulnerable except for a small spot where a linden leaf has fallen. In Peterstrasse - behind the church of St. Michael - is the oldest half-timbered house in Bürstadt. This half-timbered house was built in 1733 by Caspar Jonas as a farmhouse. The municipality of Bürstadt later took over this house and converted it into a schoolhouse. This happened during the time when Philipp Hans Hertz was the mayor of Bürstadt from 1722 to 1756 and Johann Philipp Schlippgen was the pastor in the parish of St. Michael (1732 - 1739). Bürstadt station is a tower station located at the intersection of the Riedbahn and Nibelungenbahn in Bürstadt. Bürstadt received a railway connection and a station when the Nibelungenbahn went into operation on October 27, 1869. The railway facilities were laid out at ground level and the current reception building was built in its basic form. With the expansion of the Riedbahn, a tower station was built. Operationally, the lines there are completely separate. There is no local track connection. The Riedbahn went into operation here on November 24, 1879. The names of the two parts of the station were initially Bürstadt (upper station) and Bürstadt (lower station). Source: Wikipedia
