For Hessentag (June 2 - 11), the restored Martinskirche in Pfungstadt will be designed as an experience space for all the senses and thus become a “church of happiness”. In addition, an ecumenical service with Bishop Dr. Peter Kohlgraf and Church President Dr. Volker Jung celebrated. On June 11th at 10 a.m. there will be a deanery service with the Evangelical Youth. And on June 4th at 10 a.m. there will be a half-hour impulse from the neighboring area of Pfungstadt on the church forecourt.

Information: Only for cultural events rentable! In the years 1614-1618, the town hall was built in a traffic important and important place. Here, the Modau makes the bend to the south, the lower meets the Oberdorf and the coming of the mountain road trade route continues in the directions to Mainz, Frankfurt and Worms. The building itself was built on two barrel vaults directly above the Modau, with some pillars standing directly in the water and one of these pillars was the pillory. Not in, but in front of the town hall met the center court: "on the plane at the born"; this means: on the place (plane) at the source (born). Together with the Protestant church, the town hall forms a religious and political axis and thus belonged to the center of the village. Until 1922, a large linden tree stood in front of the town hall, which had to have been around 100 years old and had been protected since 1912. Through a thunderstorm on March 1, 1922, the tree toppled over. For decades no new one was planted, only with a transformation of the town hall forecourt in the 1990er years a lime tree was again planted.
