There is more to see here than you think. Two very beautiful fountains, the village square, by the church there is a very beautiful Mariengrotte.

This image was barred, presumably to prevent damage. Still a very nice wayside shrine that is worth looking at!

A very beautifully landscaped natural garden, with many opportunities to rest and relax. Plenty of seating around the small lakes and swimming, of course in the warmer months. Enter at your own risk.

Saint John of Nepomuk was a priest (archbishop's vicar general) in Bohemia who was martyred in Prague in 1393. He was thrown into the Vltava from Prague's Charles Bridge by royal order and drowned. His statue can still be found on or at many bridges - like here over the Elsbach. He is not only considered a popular "bridge saint", but is also the patron saint of the secret of confession. In many depictions of his person he holds a cross in one hand, sometimes with the other he puts a finger to his lips as a sign of silence (which is heard at confession). The memorial day of Saint John of Nepomuk in the calendar of saints is March 20th.

At this point / I would like to quickly / say something about the source (whereby it corresponds to the art of poetry / if this 'source' is a 'well'): To quote the incomparable humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 - 1979), who was known to a wide audience for his word jokes and "Noch'n poem", with a short quatrain: "There is certainly much beauty in on the element, the wet. Because you can drink the water. But you can - also leave it." (H.Erhardt)
