The historic Kletkamp station is located on the Lütjenburg-Malente railway line. The Malente-Gremsmühlen–Lütjenburg railway line (known as "Hein Lüttenborg") is a roughly 17-kilometer-long, single-track branch line in Schleswig-Holstein that is being gradually reactivated for tourist traffic and as a research route. Current use and projects Historic rail traffic: The association Historische Eisenbahn Holsteinische Schweiz e. V. has been operating special and museum railbus trips again since the summer of 2026 (currently on the section to Flehm; a through connection to Bad Malente is planned). REAKT research route: Part of the route is being used for research into future-oriented rail mobility, among other things. Nature park draisines: Since 2022, bicycle draisines have also been available for rent on the route through Holsteinische Schweiz. Development: In 2026, extensive track and ballast work took place (financed in part by EAFRD funds and the town of Lütjenburg) to further improve train operations.
