The bridge is currently closed. A detour is in place via a nearby ford—but not after rain. The nearest bridge is a good 1.5 km away, which means a 3.5 km detour. We changed our plans during the hike.

Currently (as of September 20, 2025), the bridge is broken and officially closed. A ford across the Orke River is posted 50 meters away. Please be careful, as the water is sometimes knee-deep and the riverbed is rocky.
