The lake shore cannot be reached directly - either on foot or by bike - as it is a nature reserve, but there is a small bird watching station on the side of the road. The fields and meadows bordering the lake area are a very popular destination, and are therefore visited accordingly, especially when the weather is good. (In the current weather, you can be "alone in the wide open spaces").
