Unfortunately, there's no nice view of the castle from the avenue. At least there's a footpath alongside the main road. I don't think the walk is worth it just for the two lion heads. Next time, I'd rather take the path above the vineyard and walk back.

The Lippe weir is located at this point in the Lippeaue Selm nature reserve. At the moment (Sept. 2024) everything is very overgrown and you can't get a view of the weir. By being in an elevated position with my arms stretched up to the sky, I was able to get a picture of it. Access was probably possible before (see picture by Chiboa), but today it looks like the picture with the green bike by Micha🤘.
