We are almost done with the renovation work on our parish and pilgrimage church of St. Veit in St. Veit am Vogau. The church shines in a new color, the step portal has been redesigned, the landscaped lawn, the flowers and the trees are sprouting. Since the east tower has been attacked by woodworm, the tower plaque with the tower crosses is missing. Every visitor is invited to visit the church, and guided tours of the church are also offered.

The Attemsmoor. It extends over almost 15 hectares, of which 8 hectares are fens. Signage isn't the best, but there's plenty to discover in return.

For info. The baroque church will be completely renovated on the outside in 2022 and is also scaffolded. Accordingly, it can unfortunately only be seen covered.

The builder of the church of St. Veit am Vogau was Joseph Hueber (1716 - 1787). The high altar is worth seeing. The altarpiece was created by Franz Xaver Palko in 1752, the sculptures are by Josef Schokotnigg and Veit Königer. The ceiling fresco above the organ shows Pope Pius X as a Styrian specialty and Karl Marx in the background.
