Rothmühle Castle is a historical and cultural gem in the Vienna Woods region. It is a baroque castle built in the 17th century and has a medieval core. It was once the residence of Franz Anton Mesmer, the famous doctor and faith healer who also hosted Mozart. Today the castle is a bed and breakfast, a conference and event location, and above all the home of the Nestroy Games Schwechat, which have been held annually in the courtyard of the castle since 1973.
