The Lichtenberg is always worth a visit! Whether you start from Weißenkirchen or St. Georgen, there is always plenty of shade in the forest and so a bike ride is usually no problem even on hot days. It doesn't matter whether you visit the observation tower or the inn beforehand. That probably depends on how hungry you are. But you shouldn't miss out on "both", the fantastic view and the good food.

The "Wirtshaus im Freudenthal" serves very good home cooking, snacks, bradl, and much more, and depending on the season, game dishes too. Highly recommended! (If you reserve in advance, this is also possible for larger groups or clubs.) The hosts were always friendly. Located at the end of the theme trail of the glass valley in the show village, it is the destination for hikes or bike rides. There is a playground right next door for the children.
