If you don't have a bike trailer with you, it's a great shortcut to/from Steinen-Maulburg, so you don't have to ride along the road in Höllstein. However, since the weir bridge is very narrow, it's not suitable for trailers or tricycles.

A beautiful sandy path runs alongside the B317 and unfortunately offers little shade. However, it's the best alternative for getting from Maulburg to Steinen.

Beautiful spot on the edge of the forest. There's a well, but it's NOT drinking water.

The bike path is currently full of potholes again. I think the city is waiting until the weather dries up to repair the holes. Otherwise, I think the bike path is great, and if cyclists and pedestrians treat each other respectfully and considerately, there won't be any problems.
