The Kronen Mill was named after the "Krone-Post" inn, whose owner, Bernhard Burger, had the old mill restored and rebuilt near the sawmill site in Simonswald. Built around 1800, the mill belonged to the Adamhof farm near St. Märgen and was in operation until the 1950s.

We cycled from Simonswald to the train station in Bleibach. From there we took the train to Seebruck am Schluchsee. Then we started our journey home. Along the Schluchsee, past the Windgfällweiher to the Titisee. From there we went through the Jostal to the B500. After crossing it we went down into the Hexenloch and from there back to Simonswald. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments along the tour.

The oil mill and the smaller grain mill next door: Open every Thursday and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm (from Easter Saturday to October). A guided tour is worthwhile (free with the Konuskarte). There are drinks for sale. In summer, bread/pizza or a regional specialty is prepared according to plan. Further information: https://www.brauchtumsverein-simonswald.de/Olmuhle/olmuhle.html
