In the Catholic Church of Mariae Himmelfahrt in Hallgarten, the "Schrötermuttergottes" is housed, a Gothic Madonna made of clay from 1417, who is the patron saint of wine hauliers. It stands in a Baroque-era niche specially created for it on the east wall next to the chancel arch. Because of the small clay jug (called "Scherbe" in the local dialect) that she holds in her right hand, she is also called "Madonna with the Jug".
