The Schussen is a 59-kilometre-long tributary of Lake Constance and thus a right and northern tributary of the Rhine in the southern part of Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

Beautiful, well-paved route through an idyllic landscape - hops, fruit, forest, small villages and farmsteads. Nice little road with little traffic, currently (04/2024) very quiet due to total closure, but it even has a bicycle-friendly bypass. One of my favorite routes.

The cable suspension bridge over the Argen river spans the Argen between Kressbronn, Gohren district, and Langenargen. It was built under King Wilhelm II of Württemberg between 1896 and 1897. It was the first suspension bridge in Germany with wire ropes. Today it is no longer used for vehicle traffic, only for bicycles and pedestrians. Great photo motif in all seasons.
