Ramsberg Castle stands in the territory of the former municipality of Reichenbach unter Rechberg, which has been part of Donzdorf in the Göppingen district of Baden-Württemberg since 1974. The spur castle, along with its associated estate, is situated on a ridge, one of the two southern spurs of the Rehgebirge mountain range. Opposite the Old Customs House, the Old Town Hall forms another prominent architectural feature in the heart of the old town. This building was once the economic and civic center of old Geislingen. In 1422, the merchants from Ulm built the combined market hall and town hall in the Alemannic timber-frame style, replacing the bakers' stalls and the butchers' stalls. The stone building displayed its timber framing on the first floor. Together with the Old Customs House opposite, it forms the representative center of the street market in the heart of the old town. The current facade design dates back to the Renaissance-style renovation carried out by the Geislingen Beautification Society between 1882 and 1884. The carillon on the corner tower plays in sync with the Trout Fountain. Originally, the building served more as a market hall than a town hall, as evidenced by the name "Köffhus" (market house) found in old documents. The large room on the first floor was designated as the "courtroom" for council meetings. The "Old Building" is an imposing eight-story timber-framed structure dating back to 1445. This former granary is considered one of Geislingen's landmarks. Since 1923, it has housed the museum collection of the Geislingen Art and History Association (Kunst- und Geschichtsverein Geislingen e.V.) as the city museum. The museum in the Old Building holds the memory of the city of Geislingen and its surrounding area. A beautiful fountain that the children really like!

In 1927, the Büble was donated by Hugo Fahr, probably on the occasion of the city park's 25th anniversary. The Büble on the Schalenbrunnen quickly became a significant part of the city park and was indispensable for 90 years. Hugo Fahr was then managing director of Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) and an honorary citizen of the city of Geislingen. He placed the little figure in the city park "out of affection for his hometown", as stated in a report from the GZ from those days. The figure was manufactured at the time in the galvanoplastics department of WMF as a copper electrotype. WMF was located opposite the city park – thus very close to the location of our fountain Büble. In 2018, the old fountain Büble was accidentally destroyed during tree-felling work. Thereupon, the city administration launched an appeal, asking who owned a replica of this figure, in order to use it as a template for a reproduction. (Source. Information board) Indeed, an old model was found, so that the much-loved fountain could finally be reconstructed.
