Governor's Rock is a nice intermediate point on the trail to Table Rock Summit and viewpoint. Elevation is 2,854 feet (870 m). A number of steps have been carved out from the rock, ascending and descending over the large rock formation is no hurdle.

Governor's Rock is a nice spot to take a break along the ascent to Table Rock. Take a sit and enjoy the lush green landscape, before you hike the final steps to the summit of Table Rock.

This is where the 77 mile Foothills Trail begins. It takes you through dense forest and over beautifull hills with a considerable amount of wooden stairs. It ends at Oconee State Park.
