Built in 1895 as a royal Bavarian tax office, the building served as a tax office from 1919 to 1932, and afterwards as a land registry office. However, the state's monument list names 1896 as the year of construction and Ludwig Stempel from Kaiserslautern as the architect. Today, the building houses, among other things, the registry office and the land registry office of the association of municipalities.

The neo-baroque Sacred Heart Church was built in 1912/13 by Mainz Cathedral master builder Ludwig Becker and consecrated on October 28, 1913. The three-nave "Staffelhalle" still shapes the townscape today. Its organ dates from 1929, and the four bells were added in 1955. Until its completion, the Catholic community had no church of its own and shared the adjacent Protestant church for centuries.

The Protestant church is a late Baroque hall building, dated 1749 – possibly on late Gothic foundations from 1409. The west tower bears the year 1754. Inside, a Walcker organ from 1914 can be heard. The church shapes the townscape of Winnweiler to this day.

The foundation stone bears a rhyming inscription from the early modern High German period from 1604: It describes how deep the foundation was laid under the well, and names the builders – Count Sebastian von Falkenstein and his wife Maria Juliana. The stone visible here, however, is not an original, but a replica donated in 1996 by Sparkasse Donnersberg. According to the local tour, the original foundation stone has been preserved inside the building.

Two of the buildings in the background bear the names of former mayors: The municipal library is housed in the "Bürgermeister-Iselborn-Haus" and also organizes a book sale. The neighboring "Bürgermeister-Simon-Haus" is where, among others, the choir of the singers' association meets for rehearsals, and once a month a digital café for seniors takes place there – so both houses continue to be vibrant meeting places in the village.
