Kūloa Point overlooks the Alenuihāhā Channel, which separates Maui from Hawaiʻi Island. On a clear day, you can see the island from the visitor deck, some thirty miles away. A trail runs along the point where you can take a self-guided tour of Kīpahulu to learn more about generations of the people's scared bond with their homeland and its importance.

Nahiku Road has become popular to visitors in recent years and many have said it has become a victim to too much publicity. This is a narrow road that winds through lush jungle. There is a scenic bay at the end of the road that provides amazing coastal views as waves pound the pebble beach. You'll pass Nahiku Village which has been absorbed by the jungle surrounding.

Waioka Pond (Venus Pools Maui) is a secret short dirt trail easily rideable on a bike, or you can lock the bikes and head down to the pools. With less than 5 minutes of walking or coasting, you arrive at one of the best local spots for cliff diving, or you can just enjoy swimming and sunbathing on this black sand beach. The water is protected in a cove with a small seawall, so you don't have to worry about waves or a current.

Secrets! Great, now that I have your attention, Kaihalulu Beach is known as a 'secret beach' and one of the most beautiful/hardest to get to. This beach, also known as Red Sand Beach, is a must for any tourist! The beach is nestled in a cove that has a natural sea wall that calms the incoming waves. This beach is only accessible via a narrow and steep trail, so ditch the cycling cleats and bikes at the trailhead and slip on some walking shoes because this is one destination you don't want to miss. If you don't want to go down to the beach, you can take it easy and follow the side trail just past the parking lot to a sea cliff view.

Black Sand Beach, located in Waiʻānapanapa State Park, is a remote beach despite being so close to urban areas. This volcanic beach has natural stone arches, blow holes, and a seabird colony. Visitors do need reservations as the park is trying to recover from a flood and this helps limit daily use. https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/dsp/parks/maui/waianapanapa-state-park/
