Ludwig Adèle Maria Jozef (Louis) Neefs (Gierle, 8 August 1937 – Lier, 25 December 1980) was a Belgian singer and a champion of Flemish song and Flemish cabaret. Neefs' feeling for strong songs and quality, and his characteristic deep, warm voice made him one of the best-known Flemish singers. He is the brother of Connie Neefs. His best-known songs are Benjamin, Margrietje, Ik heb zorgen, Aan het strand van Oostende, Jennifer Jennings, Martine, Laat ons een bloem and Annelies uit Sas van Gent. Neefs and his wife Liliane died, both at the age of 43, in a traffic accident in Lier on Christmas Day 1980, in which their then 15-year-old son Günther was seriously injured. Their other son, Ludwig, was on a skiing holiday at the time. Günther later became a famous singer in his father's image. source and more info: Wikipedia
