The Schiering Forest is known for its megalithic tombs (still mostly designated as dolmens here). Five of these relics of Neolithic settlement culture can be found along the Elbe-Katemin Trail. Just around the corner from this burial site, located right at the edge of the forest, are two more. All the megalithic tombs in the Schiering Forest are impressively large and absolutely worth seeing.

Café Hofliebe in Walsmburg. Beautifully located between Neu Darchau and Alt Garge or Bleckede. Ideal for a rest during a bike ride or hike. The cake is delicious! I took a photo of the opening times.
