I always like to stop here when I'm on my way between Dannenberg and Lüneburg (approx. 2-3 times a month). Mostly I buy a filled roll and a latte macchiato, occasionally also a piece of cake (yesterday, for example, it was a piece of lemon cake, which was very tasty). It's usually quite busy here, but you get served quickly anyway, the sales assistants have it very well under control (there are always several sales assistants there). If the desired filled rolls weren't ready in the display, the sales assistants were always happy to quickly prepare the corresponding roll. Even when it was very busy here, I always found the sales assistants to be very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, one of the best bakeries in the region.

Well, they are more like 50 m and extremely dilapidated. So better to enjoy with caution than with fun

Not a visual highlight, but it's a good place to cross to the other side of the street.

The dam is located right at the beginning of the tour from the 'Auf der kalten Hude' parking lot at the underpass of Lüneburger Straße. The sound of the rushing water is very pleasant. There are several seats where you can listen to the rushing sound, which is very relaxing. A visit is highly recommended 👍.

East of Amelinghausen, the river is dammed by a dam on Federal Highway 209 to form the Lopausee, a tourist destination. The overflow is also located here. North of Amelinghausen, the Lopau flows into the Luhe on the right bank near the Oldendorfer Totenstatt near Oldendorf (Luhe). From source to mouth, the river is 13.8 kilometers long.
