1857, when Clemens Graf Droste zu Vischering Erbdroste had the Catholic Church of St. Mary built. Part of the southern moat was filled in so that the church could be placed next to the southern part of the three-wing complex running north-south on the Unterplatz. This part of the commercial wing is still there; the other building, which protrudes to the west, was demolished. The church naturally includes the "Gut Brandlecht": See here: https://www.ebidat.de/cgi-bin/ebidat.pl?id=5776 and https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gut_Brandlecht
