In the Johannismühle Wildlife Park, the falconry operation serves, among other things, as a rescue center and for flight demonstrations, in order to familiarize visitors with these beautiful animals and their abilities and to impart knowledge about birds of prey. Regular highlights are the daily flight shows at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM from March to early November. The price for the flight demonstrations is not included in the entrance fee for the wildlife park! Entrance fee for flight show (as of 08/2026): Adults: €6.00, Children (3-15 years): €4.00

The Johannismühle wildlife park is located in the Baruther Urstromtal valley between Baruth and Golßen, directly on the federal highway 96. The wildlife park is named after the Johannismühle, a watermill built in 1730, whose foundations made of fieldstones can still be found in the park. On April 20, 1945, the staff of a sub-army from the Red Army moved into the Johannismühle forester's lodge. The commander directed the troops from here into the encirclement battle at Halbe. After the end of the war, the Johannismühle became the special hunting ground of the Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Armed Forces in Germany. After a weekend dacha was completed in the center of the present-day wildlife park, the forester's lodge was demolished in 1972. Through negotiations with Russian and German authorities on private initiative, it was possible in August 1994 to acquire the property and further areas and convert them into a wildlife park.
