The Hotel Buntes Haus is the oldest inn in Seiffen. It was founded 480 years ago as a hereditary court. Originally, court trials took place here – and the judge also held the right to serve alcohol. This right was passed down from generation to generation. And so it came to be that the people of Seiffen have been meeting in these venerable rooms for hundreds of years. Colorful is the name! The inn has borne the name "Buntes Haus" (Colorful House) since 1921. At that time, the windows were painted a bright blue, visible from afar. They have remained so to this day – and the "colorful atmosphere" continues throughout the entire building. https://seiffen.de/unterkunft/buntes-haus-seiffen-hotel-erbgericht/

The Schwibbogenhaus (Candle Arch House) is centrally located in Seiffen at Hauptstraße 96, right at the large intersection near the Seiffner Haus. The red timber-framed building dates back to 1646 and is considered one of the most striking buildings in the town center. Its thematic focus – as the name suggests – is the Schwibbogen (candle arch) in many variations: traditional designs with Seiffen village scenes and miners, modern versions with LED technology, or delicate silhouettes, along with matching window decorations and accessories. https://zum-erzgebirge.de/orte/schwibbogenhaus-seiffen/
