The Slovak Radio Station is an unusual structure in the north of the city. It is shaped like an inverted pyramid and was completed in 1983. The imposing building is 80 meters tall and has been hailed as one of the 30 ugliest buildings in the world, a claim disputed by Slovak architects.

The Slovak Radio building is one of Bratislava's architectural landmarks. This "inverted pyramid" is very interesting from an architectural point of view. It rightfully bears the title "Building of the Century in Slovakia" in the category of public buildings. The building is unique in the city as a testament to its time of construction. Strictly speaking, however, it consists of two pyramids, with the inner pyramid housing broadcasting facilities and a recording studio. The total height of the building, including the antenna, is 80 meters. The authors of the project are Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič, and Barnabáš Kissling. The project was created in 1967. The building was not completed until 1983, but has been broadcasting regularly since March 1985. The building features spacious interiors, an excellent concert hall, and well-equipped recording studios. The Slovak Radio's large concert studio, which seats 523 spectators, hosts concerts by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, as well as other concerts featuring classical music, popular singers, and alternative music groups. It also houses one of the largest organs in Central Europe, with over 6,300 pipes, which is the venue for the so-called Organ Concerts Under the Pyramid. The Old Bridge (Slovak: Starý most, 1945–1990: Most Červenej armády [Red Army Bridge]) is the oldest bridge in Bratislava. It is an iron bridge with a vaulted chord construction and five piers. The piers are constructed of natural stone masonry. The bridge has a total of six spans (32.3 m + 106.7 m + 137.2 m + 75.6 m + 75.9 m + 32.2 m). The 465-meter-long Danube Bridge has pedestrian and cycle paths on both sides, as well as two four-rail tracks (1000 mm / 1435 mm), dedicated to a Bratislava tram line to the southern district of Petržalka (Audorf or Engerau).[1] Observation platforms are located above two piers on both sides.
