This beautiful beach, north of Bäckviken is a lesser-known spot ideal for a quiet swim or a peaceful rest on the sandy shoreline.

The beautiful sea bay of Riddarviken features several small guest boat jetties within its harbour. If you're spending more time here and would like to get closer to the water, kayaks and canoes can be rented from the Arholma Nord Hostel.

Arholma Battery is strategically located on the northern tip of the island. The cannon was completed in 1968 and intended to protect the Sea of Åland during the Cold War. What you don't see from this vantage point is the (then) top secret facility in the mountain below; capable of housing some 340 Swedish military personnel.
