Breathtaking spot to stop for a break. The view along the granite cliffs stretches well beyond Karlsvik bay, and out to sea towards the numerous islands.

Beautiful sandy beach surrounded by granite cliffs. The bay is fairly narrow, and protected either side by long peninsulas, so the water is exceptionally calm for swimming. There are two barbecue areas just above the beach.

Bua Hed - Nature reserve Bohuslän's most well-preserved coastal heath Near the ferry stop to Malmö, you will find this scenic area with extensive coastal heather heaths and fine swimming beaches. Beautiful heath landscape Bua heath is one of the most well-preserved coastal heaths in Bohuslän. The heath lies on a sand deposit, which means that the vegetation is very sensitive to wear. Heather mixed with crow rice dominates the vegetation, but here and there there are patches of luxuriant grassland. If you hike the Soteleden, it goes partly through Bua Hed. Nice baths Between the jutting outcrops along the shores there are many fine bathing beaches and from the heights you have a magnificent view of the fjord landscape. By car, the easiest way to get to the area is if you take the road towards Kungshamn and drive towards Malmö. Turn left, there is parking for visitors to the reserve. https://www.vastsverige.com/sotenas/produkter/bua-hed/
