Ytresandheia lies in the "shadow" of the much better-known Ryten and is therefore climbed less often. Unfortunately, the trailhead was not signposted on our hike, which is why we missed it at first. Then it goes uphill quite stony and bumpy, in the upper part the path is more pleasant. The view is already magnificent during the ascent and, especially in good weather, has an almost "addictive character". Overall highly recommended! Be careful: the small parking lot at the trailhead in Yttersand only has about 6 spaces, the rest is a turning circle for the bus, and it is also strictly controlled and punished if you park in a no-parking zone.
