Today, the historic town hall houses the registry office, the tourist information center, and the "Ratkeller". On the back of the building, there is a relief plaque from the Gothic period depicting a drinking monkey, which is intended to symbolically express the vice of gluttony or excess. Beautiful old Gothic town hall of the town of Stadthagen on the market square with its many half-timbered houses.
