The bridge from which the village derives its name crosses the Leck Beck a tributary of the River Lune. No longer used as a road bridge (a new bridge as been built alongside) but you can still cross the bridge on foot.

This is called Cow Dub waterfall. It is a fascinating, beautiful place. The waterfall is very narrow and not very high, but it is multi-levelled, and when I went there, it looked like the water literally wasnβt going anywhere. It literally landed on the floor, and then seeped straight into the limestone network below.

Came up straight from the track, pretty good going over the tussocks. Nice trig pointed top but this is not the true summit. The true top is a nearby small pile of stones going east.
