Great little cafe stop next to the route. Lovely garden to enjoy a buttie and a cup of Yorkshire in.

Keep your eyes peeled for the handy work of a crack team of guerilla knitters, who go by the name of the Menston Yarnbombers. They yarnbomb quite a few spots on the village; postboxes, walls, etc. I'll leave their locations up to you to find, but if you stroll around the main parts/streets of the village I'm sure you'll find a few places they've recently hit. They change the creations regularly and with the seasons.

lots of walkers and dogs but room for all.

Situated on the old Otley to Ilkley railway line, this section of the Wharfedale Greenway links up Otley to the outskirts of Menston, and with the option of continuing on towards Burley-in-Wharfedale. No matter the time of year, there's a chance this section of the wharfedale greenway will be muddy so walking shoes/boots maybe a good option, but the track is wide enough to avoid the worst of it when you need to.

An enjoyable walk to/from Burley in wharfedale along the river Wharfe. No real surfacing to speak of on the route so it can be muddy. Also, when approaching from Burley there's a underpass so you can avoid the A65 crossing.
