It is the last of its kind in Wallonia. * Its construction at the Michot shipyard in Thuin was entirely financed by an inheritance received by Abbé Ranchon, founder of the Amicale batelière canadienne in Marchienne-au-Pont. * Intended for boatmen in the region, the boat has hosted hundreds of weddings, baptisms, Sunday masses and other ceremonies linked to boating festivals. * Less frequented, the boat nevertheless remains a major part of the heritage and history of the community of boatmen. He is at the center of the Pardon organized annually. * Faced with the aging of volunteers, it is threatened at the beginning of 2020 with closure and dismantling.
