In place of a Romanesque predecessor, remnants of whose walls are incorporated into the present-day chancel, a Gothic church was built in the 14th century. The foundations of the chancel and the chancel-flanking tower are still preserved from this earlier structure. These foundations have been dated to 1389/90 using dendrochronological analysis. After 1475, Old St. Nicholas Church acquired its present form through the raising of the chancel and the construction of a new nave. Source: Wikipedia

The opening of the station on May 15, 1880, marked the inauguration of the Landshut-Plattling railway line. The Neumarkt-Sankt Veit-Landshut railway line followed on October 4, 1883. During World War II, the entire station area was destroyed by a bombing raid on March 19, 1945. The building was replaced by a new, purpose-built structure on March 19, 1954. Source: Wikipedia
