I would like to add two details that are rather spoiling the (otherwise) good reputation of the hut. Some time ago they would not sell (serve if you prefer) lunch meals (that were fully prepared and ready) as it was only 11:45 and they are only serving lunch after 12:00. Yesterday, although there were not many people occupying the outside tables, we could not help noticing a large sign ":strongly prohibiting" consuming food and drinks not purchased in the hut. That is in absolute contradiction with the good tradition of Bulgaria and especially Vitosha huts. Also I may say that on previous occasions we were not as much fascinated by the food (and the prices too of course) as some other reviewers are. That is why I would rather not recommend staying at the Chervenata shapcitsa hut.

It wasn't immediately clear to me that these big stones were the golden bridges, so don't make the same mistake as I did, looking for actual bridges. ;-) Not sure why they're named as such, maybe they light up gold in the sun, but definitely not on the rainy, foggy day I was there. Still looks really nice though.

Very good food. Burgers are their specialty. You may have to wait a long time for them. There are many willing to try them.

The monastery was built in the 15th century. During the years of Turkish slavery it was destroyed, but not completely. In 1875 the church was restored, in which some of the old murals - those behind the altar - are still preserved. Otherwise, the church itself is very interesting, though small and quite modest.

It is very overgrown. Be careful with prickly bushes.
