At Christmas 1692, Hans Achatz von Lindenfels acquired the manor for 16,000 guilders. Commissioned by Margrave Christian Ernst of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, he had the church cleaned and renovated starting in 1693, and expanded again in the following years. The interior furnishings were completely renewed. The construction work was completed in 1702 under Hans Achatz von Lindenfels' son, Jobst Bernhard. In the same year, the rebuilt and redesigned church was consecrated by the Redwitz pastor, Georg Samuel Martius (1701–1740), and named "Church of the Holy Spirit." In 1897, an old, unplayable organ was sold. From autumn 1992 to spring 1993, the church underwent another comprehensive renovation, and in 1993 it received a new organ built by the Steinmeier company (Oettingen). ...] Two bells hang in the tower: a small Renaissance bell cast around 1600, and a bell cast in Eger in 1722 with the inscription Soli Deo Gloria ("To God alone be the glory") on its shoulder. Among the distinctive features of the predominantly Baroque interior is the wooden ceiling, divided into panels depicting alternating angels with instruments of the Passion and flowers with tendril patterns. The church also contains a pulpit altar, an organ without a case, and a pew.
