1.5 km west of Schönbrunn, in an idyllic clearing in the "Kapellenschlag" forest, stands a small wayside chapel dedicated to St. Anne. The exact date of its construction is unknown. It is said that a farmer from Oberneuses built the chapel out of gratitude because his cattle were spared from the rinderpest. Its existence was first documented in 1736, when the church foundation's accounts recorded 2 guilders and 46 kreuzers from the offering box as income. There is evidence that pilgrims have been gathering at this site on July 26, St. Anne's Day, since 1840. Former castle ruins, a little to the southwest of the Ampferbach Chapel of Our Lady (also called "Windecker Käppele") near Burgebrach. Unfortunately, apart from moats and earthen ramparts, no structural remains remain, but the place has a wild, romantic flair. The ascent on the short trail is worthwhile.
