https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin_(Idstein) The Catholic parish church of St. Martin in Idstein, Hesse, is the church of the local Roman Catholic community and the parish church of the "new type parish" of St. Martin Idsteiner Land, established on January 1, 2017. This parish comprises the former parishes of St. Martha Engenhahn, Maria Königin Niedernhausen, St. Martin Idstein, St. Michael Oberjosbach, St. Nikolaus von Flüe, Idstein-Wörsdorf/Hünstetten, and St. Thomas Waldems.[1] The listed church building, designed by the Frankfurt architect Johannes Krahn, was consecrated in 1965. Its modern design is reminiscent of an early basilica.

Memorial of the Alumni Association of the Former State Building School In the green space of the upper Bahnhofstraße stands the memorial of the "Alumni Associations of the Building School" with the dedicatory inscription "To Our Dead." It served—and still serves—as a memorial to the deceased members of the student fraternities. The monument was erected in the second half of the 1920s and, at its dedication, was ceremonially placed under the permanent care of the city of Idstein.

It is considered one of the most magnificent half-timbered houses in Idstein, particularly because of its richly decorated wood carvings, the striking oriel window, and the curved gable. The inscription on the facade reads (paraphrased): "Under God's protection, Johann Conrad Killing and Anna Margareta Loeberin built this house in 1615."
