Gauerslund Church is located high up, roughly in the middle of Gauerslund municipality. The church's choir and part of the nave were built in the 12th century in Romanesque style from ashlars, making it one of the country's very old churches. Over time, it has been rebuilt and remodeled several times. The church was at some point extended westward by 9.5 meters and the burial chapel, porch and tower were added. The most recent addition is the tower, which was built in 1918 when the old tower had cracks in the same place and was therefore demolished. The church was built the same with approx. 1500 other Danish churches in the latter half of the 12th century. It has an original Romanesque nave and choir, while the tower, porch and side chapel were added from the end of the 15th century. The roof is leaded throughout. Smidstrup church is first mentioned approx. 1325 and it is known that it remained well under Ribe Cathedral's Contorat in 1330. The tax returns testify to a well-fed parish. After the Reformation, the church came under the crown, and since then it has been traded 11 times. The last time was when Mrs. Catrine Elkjær, Vellingård handed over the church as an independent institution to the parish council in 1918. Super beautifully laid out Miniland Legoland with many well-known big cities, castles etc. including an airport. Absolutely a must for young and old to stroll through here in peace. There is also a rising tower with a platform nearby, from which you have a great view of Miniland and the rest of Legoland.

Finally, you can also pet aquatic animals such as a starfish. Nice story for the introduction to SeaLife in Legoland.

The 'original Legoland' is located right next to the airport. "Legoland Billund has been a mecca for Lego fans around the world since 1968. The theme park is not far from the first Lego production facility. Today, the park is one of Denmark's most popular tourist attractions and has a variety of exciting attractions. First and foremost, of course, is "Miniland", which is the heart of the theme park. Here you will find numerous replicas of well-known buildings or landscapes. The special thing about this is the interactivity of the models. Something is moving everywhere or can be set in motion using a button. Here and there you will find funny little Easter eggs or you can be captivated by the attention to detail." (https://www.themepark-central.de/parkguide/legoland-billund/)
