The mountain lodge is located just below the peak of Mirna gora in the southeastern area of Kočevski Rog. In the immediate vicinity of the lodge is the renovated church of St. Francis Xavier and a lookout tower. View: There is a very beautiful view from the lodge or from the renovated church tower. To the east, below us is Bela Krajina with Metlika and Črnomlje, and on the other side of the Kolpa is Croatia towards Karlovac; to the south, we can see the Poljansko gorovje nearby, behind it the mountains of Gorski Kotar with Klek and the peaks of Velika Kapela; to the west, Kočevski Rog spreads out; to the north, we can see part of Gorjanci with Trdinov vrh and Žumberak, and in front of it, Smuk and Semenič, which rise above Semič. If it is very clear, the view extends all the way to Zagreb and Medvednica above it, and to Karlovac.

Beautiful view of the Bela Kraina, Croatia and the hills and mountains all around. Climbing the bell tower is well worth it. You can also ring the bell yourself 😊

The Kolpa Landscape Park is named after the famous Kolpa River. Nestled in a gorge with steep walls, it is picturesquely situated in the landscape. Thanks to its slow current, the water temperature is pleasantly warm. The park covers a large area between Stari Trg and Dragoši and consists of scattered forests with an impressive biodiversity.
