The trail going up to Vulture Peak starts off as a gradual uphill and quickly because a steep quad-burner. The final mile up to the saddle is really steep but able to be completed just hiking. To get up to the actual summit, you have to scramble a bit, but if you take your time, it is a very straight forward summit route.
