At the foot of the Muggenberg you can avoid the busy road with your MTB or gravel bike and cycle back and forth between Duggingen and Aesch. From Aesch there is a steep climb right at the beginning, but with enough energy in your legs or electronic assistance it is no problem.

The anniversary trail starts out super flowy, you can tear down at a brisk pace. Then a technically demanding serpentine begins. Some of the switchbacks can only be mastered by stepping over them, while others can be driven with practice. The wooden stairs are partly steep.

Very nice trail, excellent recommendation. It seems to goon forever, starting off steep, stony, with many switchbacks. Then when you cross the tiefental road it gets more flow and fun. However , watch out for runers and walkers as the route joins a vita parcourse. Then at the end there is a tasty little suprise that may catch your breath !
