Brilliant mix of rock and grassy descent, can get quite wet after continued rain and there are a few gates. Watch out for walkers at peak times too although not too busy most of the time.

Piano Keys Slate Trail

Highlight โ€ข Trail

All around here are quarries and relics of the area's mining history. When you come down this path, choose the middle one, which is a sunken road over slate rocks. โ€ฆ

Can be ridden quickly just be aware with bracken growing high off the sides and a few corners and crests that are blind that you are liable to meet walkers 4x4's motorbikes and technically horses too. ( I've never seen a horse but there's always a first )

I found the slab easiest to climb on the ebike in a low gear and Emtb power mode. Riding downs just nice fun on the main slab it's pretty grippy :-)

An excellent fast and technical mtb descent from West to East. A very technical climb which can be cleaned on a mtb with a bit of skill, fitness and luck ๐Ÿ˜‰. (Did I mention I've done it?) Too rocky for gravel bikes.
