There was a forest of John Paul II and nothing sacred, our foresters only cut down money, money, what times...

A forest without trees (Great Name). Cleared land. It looks like it's still in the making.

In the area of the town of Zagórze (Babice commune) there is the Bukowica nature reserve. It includes a picturesque hill, built of Triassic limestone, in the western part of Garb Tenczyński. The reserve is to protect a fragment of the Carpathian beech forest with old beech trees and the local landscape. Among others, the following grow in the undergrowth: Daphne mezereum, lily of the valley, sweet woodruff. The reserve's attraction is a several-meter-long outcrop - a rock wall made of Triassic limestone, in which numerous openings of small caves are visible. There is also a spring here. Local legends tell about the taste and health properties of the local water. According to one of them, a golden duck swims to the spring through an underground corridor from the castle in Lipowiec. King Jan III Sobieski and his army stopped here several hundred years ago on his way to Vienna. The braver ones tell stories about how the miraculous water from the Zagorze spring later contributed to the victory over the Turks. source of text and photo taken from this website https://visitmalopolska.pl/obiekt/-/poi/zrodlo-w-rezerwacie-bukowica-w-zagorzu

We go to the forest nature reserve in the Babice commune along a beautiful route among the trees. The steep driveway that leads to the spring can be a problem.

It is crystal clear and beautifully situated. The Triassic spring in Regulice flows from the deep underground Triassic limestone rocks and dolomites. It has a perfect flavor and a constant temperature! Regardless of the weather and season, it is 9.2 degrees C. It is located at ul. John Paul II and is not the only one. There are several sources at this point. Thanks to them, it was possible to build a sawmill and two mills on the Regulka river, which operated here already in the 16th century. Relics of one of them have survived to this day. Due to the excellent quality of the spring, plans appeared in 1883 to use its water to supply Krakow's water supply. An additional attraction is the several-meter-high retaining wall under the railway track made of stone from the local quarry that no longer exists. The wall was erected in this place in the years 1897-1899 during the construction of the section of the railway running from Spytkowice through Skawka, Alwernia and Regulice to Trzebinia. https://narowery.visitmalopolska.pl/pl/obiekt/-/poi/zrodlo-triaseowe-regulice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YkIHtY3_kA
