Been told by ranger this will be closed soon coz they are going to tarmac it. But there is a new Uphill trail to the left hand side at the exit from Buzzard wood

Drinking Pit Lane (Robin Hood Way Section)

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Part of the Robin Hood Way, this bridleway links Creswell Crags to Clumber Park. This waymarked route is composed of mixture of surfaces and the tree lined-section directly into Clumber park is more likely to get muddy in bad weather than the rest of the trail.

Glapwell MTB Trail

Highlight • MTB Park

Dedicated mtb trail hidden away in the trees just off Stockley Trail

Tip by

On the East Side of Holme Brook Valley Park there is a path that goes straight up the hill this is a great sprint to test fitness as it gets steeper the higher up you get. Just before you join the tarmac path there is a trail off to the right. This is apparently an MTB Trail. Having ridden it I would say avoid it. It has some potential but whoever built it didn't have the skills to create any flow and it is too short. Nice idea, shame about the execution.

Sandy base can get boggy, great little downhill when dry.

Not much elevation around Clumber, but this section of the Robin Hood way through woodland is enjoyable on a MTB especially in the winter. Plenty of natural forest floor (rather than hardpack gravel) which gets a bit muddy & cut-up.

Fairly steep gravel climb up to the start of both downhill runs, Buzzard Banger/Fort Elbow to the left and Diggers Downhill to the right (slightly higher up). There is a new, smoother gravel alternative route up, used by walkers, alongside.

The second part done at last and puncture free, really enjoyed it ,the banking is faster and the jumps flow better . Come out of part 1 ,follow the 5 pits trail back up the hill and you will see part 2 on the left . Part 2 finishes at the entrance of part 1 . I enjoyed it hope you do to .

No signs , no loop , no maintenance, what a shame.

4 minutes 15 seconds from start to finish. There is the 2nd path but I punctured and forgot my pump long walk home . Tip take a spare tube and a pump

Be careful if you get up too much speed downhill, it bends right and gets quite rutted. Then a little further the trail ends with sand, again it can catch you out if travelling fast!
